Bio:
David Moak received his PhD in History from Princeton University in 2017. For the past year, he has been a Lecturer at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies, but recently he has made the switch to UCSB, where he will be teaching in the Global Studies Department. By training, he is a historian of Revolutionary France (broadly defined), and his scholarly work deals with the birth of tourism in eighteenth-century Nice, and its economic, environmental, cultural, and social consequences.
