The Orfalea Center for Global & International Studies and the faculty of the G&IS program at UCSB announce a call for papers and panels for 'Materialities', the 2014 annual Santa Barbara Global Studies Conference. This year's conference will focus on the material moorings and manifestations of the global and is being held at UCSB on February 28–March 1, 2014.

Keynote speaker: Ananya Roy, Professor of City and Regional Planning and Distinguished Chair in Global Poverty and Practice at the University of California, Berkeley.
