NETWORKING WORKSHOP

A workshop involving representatives from
graduate programs in international affairs
.

UC-Santa Barbara,  May 2, 2009

The focus of this workshop was the role of religion in the study of international affairs, with reference especially to graduate programs in international NGO training. Unlike the other workshops, all of the approximately twenty participants were academics, representatives of some of the leading international affairs programs in the US that offer international NGO leadership training. The reason for this was to focus on the programs of study that the project hoped to serve. In addition to giving guidance for the direction of the project as a whole, and identifying key themes, this workshop provided a networking opportunity for representatives of similar programs to compare their approaches to integrating the study of religion into international affairs.
