Punjab University, Lahore
Dr. Qadri worked on Punjabi Sufi poetry, attended classes on Sikh and Punjab history, and helped taught Shahmukhi script to Punjabi VI students.
Shinder S. Thandi
Coventry University, UK
In addition to working on Global Sikhism, a joint project with Gurinder Singh Mann, Dr. Thandi taught Punjabi and delivered lectures on the Sikhs living in the diaspora.
University of Otago, New Zealand
During his stay, Harpreet attended courses in Sikh history, Punjabi literature, and the study of religion in general.
Jasreen pursued her work in Linguistics and taught Punjabi at UCSB.
University of Jyväskylä, Finland
Laura visited UCSB as a Fulbright scholar. Laura is undertaking a comparative research study on the Sikh community in Helsinki in Finland and Yuba City in USA. The focus of her project lies on the question how Sikh diasporic identities are constructed in a transnational context.
Lund University, Sweden
During her stay, she worked on her doctoral dissertation entitled: “Inside the Guru’s Gate: Ritual Uses of Texts among the Sikhs in Varanasi.” (Lund University, 2007)
