Asma Qadri
Punjabi
Punjab University, Lahore

Dr. Qadri worked on Punjabi Sufi poetry, attended classes on Sikh and Punjab history, and helped taught Shahmukhi script to Punjabi VI students.

2011-2012

Shinder S. Thandi
Economics
Coventry University, UK

In addition to working on Global Sikhism, Dr. Thandi taught Punjabi and delivered lectures on the Sikhs living in the diaspora.

During his stay, Harpreet attended courses in Sikh history, Punjabi literature, and the study of religion in general.

Jasreen pursued her work in Linguistics and taught Punjabi at UCSB.

Laura Hirvi

University of Jyväskylä, Finland

Laura visited UCSB as a Fulbright scholar. Laura is undertaking a comparative research study on the Sikh community in Helsinki in Finland and Yuba City in USA. The focus of her project lies on the question how Sikh diasporic identities are constructed in a transnational context.
