and Society in the Punjab (RS 213B) is a graduate seminar
that focuses on some of the landmarks developments in religio-cultural
life of the Punjab from the Indus Valley Civilization to the present
day.
Music of the
Punjab (M175K) is an upper division undergraduate course
that provides an overview of musical life in the Punjab, as well
as the Punjabi-based music being produced in Western countries,
with special emphasis on the changing role of music in new contexts
and circumstances.
