1) Download the "Graduate Student Petition" from the Grad Division web site.

2) Under the Change of Status – ADD: PhD Emphasis in Global Studies. Sign the form.

3) Get signature from your home department 'generic' faculty advisor for grad students.

4) Send an e-mail to Alison Brysk at abrysk@global.ucsb.edu to set up a time to meet with her. She will then sign the form as Advisor of Interdisciplinary Emphasis.

5) International Students need a signature from the Office of Intl. Students and Scholars.

6) Bring the form with all the signatures to Jessea Gay Marie in SSMS 2008. She will make a copy and also have you fill in another information sheet that will be kept on file in the Global Studies Office.

7) You can then take the form over to the Grad. Division and pay the $20 fee.
