Bio

Kayla Picciuto graduated magna cum laude from Boston College in 2013 after transferring from Santa Barbara City College. At Boston College, Kayla studied Philosophy and International Studies with a special focus on political ethics, religion and social justice in the Middle East. During the first months of the Arab Spring, Kayla traveled to Kuwait to research religious sectarianism in the Arabian Gulf. A year later, her academic curiosity shifted towards Israel-Palestine, with astute attention to the status of Palestinian refugees living in Jordan and the West Bank. Kayla's graduate research continues to surround issues of social justice in the Middle East, particularly between Isreal and Palestine.
