Muslim Hands was founded in 1993 in Nottingham, UK. Currently Muslim Hands has fundraising offices in the UK, France and South Africa. With a budget of over 5,000,000 pounds sterling, Muslim Hands works in over forty countries worldwide with programs that provide relief for victims of natural disasters, conflict and poverty. Its stated mission is: “to be at the forefront in delivering relief from poverty, sickness and the provision of education worldwide; to provide an ethical service for the collection & distribution of funds in an effective, efficient, transparent and wholly accountable manner.” The current Chairman is Syed Lakhte Hassanain and Fundraising Manager is Shahid Bashir.
