An interdisciplinary, University-wide research center based at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, the HHC (established 1997,) is focused upon the teaching of and research on nonprofit institutions- with the goal of shaping policies that enhance the sector and its role in civil society. To such end the HCC hosts conferences with direct bearing in scope upon the third sector and organizations of civil society. Has recently sponsored the Program on Religion and Public Life. Mark H. Moore is the Faculty Director, Derek Bok, is the Faculty Chair and Anne Mathew is the Interim Executive Director.
