LECTURE SERIES
Global Lunches, 2008
The Orfalea Center hosts a series of free one-hour lunchtime lectures for
the general public on topic of global and transnational interest. The format
consists of concise half-hour talks by speakers from the worlds of international
nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), diplomacy, journalism, and academia
from across the UCSB campus and beyond, highlighting perspectives on a
variety of global issues. A question & answer period follows each talk.
The lectures are held in the seminar room of the Orfalea Center, located in the detached wings of offices at the Ocean Road entrance to Robertson Gym. (map)
Topics and dates will be announced on the Orfalea Center News web page; in Passport, the Global Studies events e-newsletter; and on flyers around campus.
