Myungkoo Kang is the director of Seoul National University Asia Center (SNUAC) and professor of media and cultural studies in Seoul National University. He has been leading two research teams: "Creative Generations in East Asia" in which Chinese, Japanese and Korean research have worked together, "Korean Firms Went to China: A Culture History of Korean Investment".
