Global Studies PhD students Tymoteusz Chajdas and Jesilyn Faust have been appointed as Summer Teaching Associates for Session A. Mr. Chajdas will teach Global 1. He has worked as a Teaching Assistant for Global 1 for several quarters and is now working with Professor Gunn who is teaching the large lecture course this spring. Prior to coming to UC Santa Barbara, he worked for Nature Publishing Group in Switzerland. He received his MA in International Journalism from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. Ms. Faust will teach Global 2. She received a master’s degree in Spanish language and literature from CSU Long Beach and has volunteered in several countries including Cuba, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Mexico. The Global 1 and Global 2 courses will begin June 26th and seat up to 35 students each.
