Alison Brysk, Mellichamp Professor of Global Governance, has been appointed a co-PI for the WomanStats database project, the first and most comprehensive source of verified cross-national empirical data on all forms of violence against women and creator of the global Physical Security of Women Index. This resource is now being utilized by UN agencies, national governments, NGOs, and scholars across the social sciences, peace studies, security studies, and feminist studies to measure, map, analyze, and ameliorate gender-based violence.
