Hagop
Jerejian
Hagop was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business. After graduating he started running his family's service station business and at the same time opened his own business importing, selling and distributing wholesale wheels throughout Southern California. While working he took time to travel to various developing countries around the world which gave him the inspiration to apply to the Global and International Studies Program at UCSB.
During the Summer of 2008, Hagop interned in Yerevan, Armenia for a 2 month period with the Armenian Development Agency (ADA) working on projects designed to attract foreign direct investment to Armenia.
In the fall, Hagop will be interning at the Armenian International Research Policy Group (AIRPG) in Washington DC he will be working on collecting data on foreign aid programs run by other organizations in Armenia, including the EU and the United Nations. He will also be doing research to understand the history of foreign aid programs in Armenia to evaluate what they have accomplished, and also to better understand the pattern of foreign technical assistance programs around the world over the past 10 years.
