Dinah Van Wingerden

Dinah’s interest in this program was piqued by a long held interest in the work of international NGOs. She has been involved in the non profit sector here in Santa Barbara for over twenty years.

Dinah currently sits on the board of three local foundations and is looking to expand her abilities to assess philanthropy in the international arena.

For her MA project, Dinah will build a program for the Eleos Foundation that will inform and enhance local investment in global philanthropy.

Her internship will be with Eleos Foundation, a local foundation desiring to fund internationally, as the grant-making Strategy Officer, responsible for overseeing the spend-down of the Eleos endowment.  She will help identify programs for funding that will deliver health and education services to the world’s poor.
