Samaneh Oladi Ghadikolaei
Samaneh Oladi became acquainted with the Global and International Studies program when she came to the United States last year through Fulbright program from Iran. She applied to MAGIS because she was inspired by some of the faculty that taught in this program.
She has an M.A. degree in education from Tehran University in Iran. She decided to change her field of study to Global and International Studies in order to make a more influential contribution to humanity. This was the best decision she has made thus far.
She is interested in the role civil society plays in promoting human rights and new world order. She interned this summer in Washington D.C. with Global Exchange, an NGO international human rights organization dedicated to promoting social, economic and environmental justice around the world. In the fall, she will teach Persian language courses for the Middle Eastern Studies program at UC Santa Barbara, and continue her M.A. project research.
