Alexios MonopolisAlexios Monopolis

Alexios’ background is in environmental studies and international relations, having received a Master of Science degree from Oxford University in Biodiversity Conservation and Management and, as an undergraduate at Dartmouth College, completing a Senior Fellowship in Environmental Diplomacy.

His research interests revolve around international environmental governance, trans-frontier conservation areas, natural resource law and public policy, sustainable development, environmental security and geopolitics, environmental refugees, climate change, the geography of human-environmental relations, ecological psychology, environmental ethics, and environmental media and communication.

Alexios’ is also a Ph.D. candidate at UC Santa Barbara’s Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management and added the Global Studies program for a MA joint degree in spring 2007. His internship work will begin next summer.
