Alexis Donkin
Alexis Donkin spent two years studying Visual Art at Bard College. At the end of her sophomore year she spent a summer in Central America where she became politicized. She then took a year off before transferring to Juniata College, where she graduated cum laude in Peace and Conflict Studies.
During her time at Juniata, she studied Civil Society and Social Movements at the Institute for Social and European Studies in Szombathely, Hungary.
After graduation, Alexis spent a year with Applecorps, an AmeriCorps program, at the Brandon School in Goleta helping fourth and fifth graders with literacy.
Alexis is currently interning with the Nelson Mandela Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution at the Jamia Milia Islamia University, in New Delhi, India; Alexis is concerned with interfaith cooperation and dialogue in the Indian context.
