The UCSB Alumni Association has an Online Alumni Directory where you can post your current information about your job, address, etc, and where you can look up other alumni's information. You can look up graduates by major (i.e. Global Studies) and see where your friends have gone, or look them up by state/country (i.e. what other UCSB alums are currently living near you?), or by occupation, grad year, etc.

UCSB Alumni Association

Use of the Online Alumni Directory is FREE, just register on their website. PLEASE register and update your information, this way the Global Studies Program office can find you, find out what you are doing, and also let other majors know "where our Global Studies majors go after they graduate."

Titu sends us news March 2004:

Dr. Juergensmeyer,

Thank you for your well wishes.

This year so far has truly been a busy year for me. Apart from getting married, we increased our family size to 4, all inclusive. One is a "Brown Tiger" (cat) named Phoenix, will turn 2 in May. And the other is a 2 month old Rottweiler puppy named Julius. I am including some pictures for you. Shahida and I recently bought a small town house in the suburbs of Germantown, MD.

Titu writes us in the Fall of 2003:

After graduating from UCSB in 1999, I pursued a graduate degree by enrolling in the School of International Service in American University in Washington D.C. While pursuing my M.A. in International Affairs, I ran for student office and was elected as the Vice President and subsequently the President of the Graduate Student Council for the year 2001-2002 (please see www.american.edu/sis/gsc).

While pursuing my MA, I worked part time for an international development consulting firm in Washington DC and concurrently published an article on Sweat Shop allegations on a prominent Television morning show hostess, Kathy Lee Gifford (http://www.american.edu/TED/kathylee.htm).

While running the graduate student body, working part-time and continuing my MA full-time, I decided to enroll into Kogod School of Business’s MBA program in 2002. After being accepted into Kogod’s Business School, I began to actively partake in their extra-curricular activities and participated in Kogod’s regularly scheduled golf tournaments (http://newsweaver.co.uk/kogod/e_article000104709.cfm).

In May 2002, I graduated with my MA in International Affairs and in 2003 I completed and received my MBA with all the privileges and responsibilities thereof. Currently, I am employed as a Business Analyst for a Financial Services firm in Rockville, Maryland and have been employed there for about a year now.
